Planning

I began by reimagining a 4 year old event. The hotel had expanded its visual possibilities and Starkey leadership was excited to explore new ways of making an impact with our attendees.

My focus when ideating was on education, experiencing the product and brand, and engaging with the customer attending the expo.

Social

I worked closely with the social team to develop a creative strategy for engaging and exciting our attendees before and during the event. In a first for Starkey, we did Instagram takeovers and streamed a speaking event live for customers who couldn’t be a the event. We also engaged our attendees with contests. Prizes ranged from a book to meet and greets with celebrities. We promoted #StarkeyExpo and ascended to rank number 2 on Twitter in Las Vegas during the event.

  • Increased social media following on every platform.

  • The number of organic impressions per Tweet increased by 25.7% during this time period.

  • Total engagements on Instagram were up 206% during this time period.

  • Facebook engagements hit 17,675, up 41.2% for this time period.
